What is the literacy ePLC?

Literacy is essential for life and learning! Managing the intricacies of the literacy process can be challenging. The complexities of literacy instruction can cause confusion and overwhelm educators as well as students. Focused, intentional, and purposeful planning is critical for clarity, relevance, and rigor.

Our goal

The goal of the lead4ward literacy ePLC is to provide a virtual learning and support system for ELAR educators throughout the year. The support will include, but is not limited to, the following:  

  • planning for common mistakes students make
  • timing and pacing
  • planning process
  • useful assessments
  • literacy as a process

Pre-recorded learning video focus areas will include:

  • getting started: literacy pathway, framework, processes
  • laying the groundwork

  • essential understandings for each chunk of instruction

Registration is by grade span:

  • Grades 3-5: $950
  • Grades 6-8: $950
  • High School: $950
